Coffee, the Ultimate Health Drink…
Welcome to Taroandti.com. Coffee may not be the ultimate health drink, but it is in my book. I am passionate about my coffee - I roast coffee from all over the world thanks to a very good importer - Tom at Sweet Marias. I also roast Kona coffee from Smithfarms too. I prefer to travel the world with my cup and I’ll always have a cuppa Yirg or Harar, or perhaps some thick Sumatran, or dark chocolaty Ugandan Bugisu. You never know what’s around the corner the next week, month or year - Tom hand-picks his coffee by the quality of the cup so what’s good this season may not be so good next. My favorite brewing method is the French Press. Levels of roast depend on the coffee, but I don’t like dark roasts and seldom go darker than Full City.
And since I’m into growing odd things, it’s only natural that I also grow coffee. Not to drink, tho I may sample the crop - but coffee very much is a product of its environment. Incidentally, coffee trees, while a little lanky, are very pretty trees and easy houseplants for those who are inclined to gardening. The 6″ long, dark green, glossy, wavy-edged leaves are lovely to behold, and the flowers have a scent reminiscent of jasmine. If I get pallatable coffee from the trees, it’ll be a bonus, but these I’m growing because they’re simply gorgeous plants to grow.
